Summertime is upon us!! This means summer brews are out in full force. It also means new cocktails at the HighBall.
Our good friend and head beer nerd over at the Alamo, Jim Hughes came up with the idea of the Badass Tap which has been doing very well and is giving beer drinkers even more reason to enjoy a visit to the Alamo. Piggybacking off that idea seemed like a no-brainer so we have set our own three taps aside for seasonal, rare and just plain delicious pints. We have been working closely with distributors to bring you some of the hardest to find and just plain great beer that fits the weather. So come on in and ask your server what we have plugged in that night, you just might find a new favorite.
The new cocktails on the menu are inspired by the seasons offering. Peaches, watermelon and plums are at their peak right now and we took full advantage of them. Right now we have a watermelon-infused cachaca cocktail that is mixed with mint, ginger liqueur and gingerale. We also infused Bulleit bourbon with Texas Peaches and made a Georgia Julep. Lastly, we took the underrated plum, infused Bulleit and mixed with Vya sweet vermouth for a summer version of the Manhattan, called the Jack Horner.
Last but not least we have worked hard on creating some daily drink specials to compliment our already awesome happy hour.
Happy Hour: Mon-Fri 4:30-7pm – free karaoke, $2pints and $4 wells (Bulleit, Bacardi, Cazadores Silver, Tanqueray, Dewars and Tito’s)
Daily Specials
Sunday: $2 off all signature cocktails
Monday: $5 classic drinks (15 different ones to choose from)
Tuesday: $5 Cazadores, Herradura Silver and Hornitos margaritas
Wednesday: all day happy hour
Thursday: $2.50 local pints (10 different choices from our friend’s at Shiner, Independence, Live Oak, 512 and Real Ale)
