  • Hi! I’m with Austin City Dance Club. A few of us came out last night and really enjoyed the Serious Soul Night w/ DJ Big Papa. Someone mentioned that you all had this every other night. Is that so? We would LOVE for this to be a recurring event. We could potentially bring a good size crowd. A crowd who loves to eat and drink! Please let me know! Thank you so much!

  • Man I got my groove on at Serious Soul night. I just have to say what an awesome venue for dancing! I think Tim League you are dominating my social schedule between this awesome venue and the alamodrafthouse. Don’t even need to leave that little complex!

  • This was a BLAST! Like they said, a seriously good time! I’m so glad so many people came out.

    **Emily: They talked about doing it every 3rd Wednesday, but the next one falls on St. Patty’s Day + SxSW, so they’re still working out a date. I’m sure it’ll happen, so check back! There’s also another type of dance party on March 3rd, with Blues music. It’s put on by myself (DJ BluRay) and DJ Big Papa.

  • Had to see it for myself before brining out the recruits! I’ve been in the social/partner dancing scene in Austin for close to 20 years, and this is the first venue that I am confident will escalate dramatically in numbers and will be a HUGE hit among my non-dancing friends, as well. There is nothing else like it in town, and this is an aweseome alternative to what – until now – only Karaoke – may have tapped into. Friendly folks, and the energy was high. Keep me posted on the next and the next…

  • Wow!  What a great dance event!  I really missed having regular soul nights here in Austin, and this one was a lot of fun.  Plus it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a dance venue that served food — please have more soul nights so that I may work my way through the menu. :)
