The photo you see above this title marks a significant step in what will surely be the signature design element in the Highball. That red metal structure is going to be supporting the facade that will be above the bar. I don’t know what it is going to look like, exactly, but I do know that it is going to come out about four feet from that support structure.

Also of note is that sheetrocking, plumbing and wiring is advancing quickly on the downstairs karaoke/diner area. Suffice it to say, this is where the vast majority of the action has been taking place over the last week. And according to Daniel, after some plumbing and inspections, drywall installation can be completed. Also, when I asked him what the “next big event” will be in this phase of construction, he said that connecting to waste water was the big deal right now. Not glamorous, but I think we’d all agree that is a pretty big deal.
