To really get a sense of who and what Akalepse is you have to check the track record. Steady at work with the records since 1993 when he first put the needle on one, Lepse is the definition of dedicated. His commitment, passion, and integrity are the difference you hear in his sound and production. Coming up in hip-hop’s Golden Era when your reputation was truly based on your skill set, he honed his craft using the best possible method: hard work.

Akalepse is the A&R at Truth and Soul Records based in Brooklyn, NY and also has a weekly residency at Le Poisson Rouge with his partner in crime, Rich Medina called “Props”. Lepse held down a weekly residency at the legendary APT for 8 years up until its closing a couple of years ago. Lepse has shared the stage with the likes of KRS-One, Just Blaze, Kenny Dope, Lord Finesse, J-Rocc, and Cypress Hill to name a few.
